convivium
ConviviumSurrenti is a garden in the city center of Sorrento and part of an ancient Roman installation whose vestiges appear in the nearby area.
Numerous are the architectural and decorative elements that revoke the local history, which is strongly emphasized by a 13-century double-arched window at the entrance of Via Santa Maria delle Grazie.
Within the walls of the garden grow many arboreal species, characteristic of the Sorrento peninsula, that provide natural materials used in our gastronomic training proposals.
ConviviumSurrenti is also supplied with an historic rural kitchen with a wood oven and a chestnut woodroom for other indoor activities.
The site is located near an ancient monastery to which is connectd via several underground tunnels to this day.
We can only imagine the obscure events that undertook in those passages where many people hid during the raid of the Turks in 1558.
